let's get to know each other
Our factory was created in Lorraine, the center of French steelmaking at the beginning of the 20th century. In more than a hundred years of history, the company has undergone several changes of activity and owners. But a common passion persists: Steel transformation.
From an individual company to a member of the global ArcelorMittal group, the Vosges AXAME factory has been able to reinvent itself over the centuries and develop unique know-how.
Our history

Creation of the company with the aim of manufacturing cannons for the Second World War.

The electrometallurgical company of Le Bourget was a company specializing in the manufacture of scaffolding.
The two industrial companies merge to form Vincey Bourget.

The Usinor group, one of the world leaders in metallurgy, took over the activities of the site which then became the Société des Tubes de Vincey.

By grouping its French tube mills, Usinor created Tubeurop France and became one of the European leaders in welded tubes.

Condesa buys Usinor's European tube mills, leading to a strategic change at the Vincey site.
Under the Lorraine Tubes group, the Vincey factory no longer only manufactured tubes, but expanded its activities by transforming it to provide finished and semi-finished products to its customers.

Axame joins the ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Europe branch, following the acquisition of Lorraine Tubes.
The factory then becomes a member of ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Lexy.

In order to continue to be competitive in rapidly changing markets, Axame has invested in a brand new laser tube cutting as well as an automatic welding robot.
The site is now equipped with two Lasers and two welding robots.
Where is AXAME located in the ArcelorMittal universe?
